James PROSSER was born between
1791-1793 in North Carolina and died 1854 in
Lincoln/Moore Co., TN. His wife was Frances Richardson
who was born between 1802-04 and she died between

NOTE 1:
* It is my belief that the Walter
P. Prosser who appears in the 1880 Obion Co., TN Census,
is the same William P. Prosser who was the son of James
and Frances Richardson Prosser. Until 1860, William P.
Prosser is in Tennessee census records. In 1870, he
appears in the Hopkins Co., Texas census. And, by 1880,
he is back in Tennessee living in Obion County. Sometime
between 1880 and 1900, several of his children migrated
to Cape Girardeau Co., Missouri. |

Elizabeth Catherine Cresson with whom
he had 5 children: Frances, Franklin, Hugh Lawson,
Martha, and William C.; 2) Mary Elizabeth Fouch
(aka: Foutch) with whom ha had 4 children: John Martin
Luther, Oscar, Charles, and Martin Luther. |

much personal information regarding James and his

distant cousin of mine who descends through this line -
Bobby Prosser. He lives in Dickson, Tennessee not far
